Shared Branching: Changes to shared branching has moved ahead of schedule. Please note that when visiting a shared branch location you will now need to provide to them the name of Options Credit Union to access your account. The account number has not changed and the branches will be notified of the name change.
Wire Information: Credit Union wiring information has been updated to reflect the name. Our routing number did not change, only the financial institution name. If you will be receiving a wire please make sure you get the updated information.
Bill Pay: Any members that use other bill pay services to send payments to the credit union should update the payment set ups to reflect the new name, and if you haven't already updated the address we recommend getting that taken care of too. We are still receiving payments at the old Middlefield address.
Member Drafts: The name and logo have been updated on member drafts. Any new check orders going forward will reflect the new credit union name. There is no need to replace the checks you may currently have. They will continue to process perfectly fine. No action is required.
Member Statements: Beginning with your April statement you will now see the sender to be Options Credit Union. No action is required.
eTeller/mTeller: Remote banking is currently in the process of being updated with the new branding. If you already use these platforms they will automatically update. No action is required.
Website: We are still in transition of building out the new website. Both sites are functional and you may use either. When the full transition occurs the old site will re-direct. We will notify you when to begin exclusively using the optionscreditunion.com web address.
Debit Cards/Credit Cards: These are two of the last remaining items we will have to get updated. We anticipate in could be up to 2 months yet before it occurs. When it does all new card orders will automatically reflect the new branding. No action will be required.
April 1, 2016 - Things are moving along, we are now identifying ourselves as Options Credit Union when you call. Please remember that this is only a rebranding mission, we have not merged or joined with another credit union. Our membership is the same, our staff is the same, our service will not change. It is our intention that this move will help us to grow, and in turn as we grow we will be able to offer more services and even lower rates to you than we are now. We hope you love the new name and logo as much as we do!
Still in process: Debit cards, credit cards, mobile banking, and the new website. The change in name at shared branching will be last item on the list to be updated so that members have time to get accustomed to the new name.
March 24, 2016 - We have now updated all wire information for the credit union. If you need to send or receive a wire please contact the credit union to make sure you are using the most current form. None of the account information has changed however, mainly just be sure to use the new name. We have also now updated member checks. On your next check order you will see the new logo.
I would also like to take a moment to remind everyone that this move is a name change only for re-branding, we have not changed our core field of membership and will remain committed to our members.
March 14, 2016 - We have begun transitioning all of the backend process over to the new name. You can expect the new name to start replacing Legal Community in our communications to you. Up next: We are diligently working to get the new website completed and transition all of our forms over to the new branding. We are also currently working with Visa to get logos changed on credit cards, and an updated mobile app is on the agenda.
February 26, 2016 - Over the upcoming months, Legal Community Credit Union, will be changing its name to Options Credit Union. In order to remain viable in today’s competitive market we must find ways to continuously grow the credit union. The rebranding and growth will eventually allow us to expand the products and services we bring to you, as well as better communicate our service commitment to membership.
We will communicate with you as the transition unfolds but in the next several months you can anticipate new materials, messaging, a new website, and a redesigned mobile app. As your debit and credit cards come up for renewal you can expect to see our new logo on those as well. In addition, you will see the logos for Legal Community Credit Union and Options Credit Union together as we slowly migrate from one name to the other.
